Ingredients
  

For the base

  • 6 Tablespoons salted butter Melted
  • 16 ounces mini marshmallows (divided) Reserve 1 cup for later
  • 1 teaspoon pure vanilla extract
  • 6 cups Rice Krispies cereal

For mixing

  • 1 1/4 cups holiday M&Ms (divided) Reserve 1/4 cup for topping
  • 1/4 cup holiday sprinkles

For topping

  • 5 ounces Ghirardelli white chocolate melting wafers Melted, about half a bag

Instructions
 

Preparation

  • Line a 9-inch square baking dish with parchment paper and set aside.
  • In a large saucepan, melt the butter over medium heat.
  • Once melted, add in all but 1 cup of the mini marshmallows. Reduce heat to low and stir until melted and smooth.
  • Remove from heat and stir in vanilla extract.
  • Add Rice Krispies and remaining 1 cup of marshmallows, gently stirring to combine.
  • Fold in 1 cup of holiday M&Ms and all the sprinkles.

Assembly

  • Pour mixture into the prepared baking dish and press gently with fingertips to spread evenly.
  • Drizzle melted white chocolate on top and add remaining 1/4 cup of holiday M&Ms, along with extra sprinkles if desired.
  • Allow treats to set for one hour before cutting into squares and serving.

Notes

Store leftovers in an airtight container at room temperature for up to three days or freeze tightly wrapped to avoid freezer burn. Make sure not to overheat marshmallows and gently press the mixture to avoid hardness.
