Preparation

  • Take the ground sausage and grated sharp cheddar cheese out of the fridge and let them sit at room temperature until no longer cold.
  • Preheat your oven to 400 degrees Fahrenheit.
  • Prepare a baking sheet by covering it with aluminum foil, then spray the foil with non-stick cooking spray or drizzle a bit of oil.
  • In a mixing bowl, combine the sausage and cheddar cheese, mixing on low speed until just combined.
  • Add the Bisquick and olive oil to the mixture and mix until the dough is slightly dry and crumbly.
  • Press the dough into 2-inch-sized balls and place them on the prepared baking sheet.

Baking

  • Bake the sausage balls for 10 to 12 minutes or until they turn a golden color.
