Ingredients

Main Ingredients

  • 6 large large eggs For the base of the quiche.
  • 2 cups heavy whipping cream For a rich texture.
  • 1 cup whole milk Can be substituted with more cream.
  • 8 strips bacon, cooked and chopped Adds flavor and protein.
  • ¼ cup green onions, thinly sliced For garnish and flavor.
  • cup sharp cheddar cheese, shredded For a cheesy flavor.
  • 1 teaspoon salt
  • ½ teaspoon pepper
  • ½ teaspoon paprika For added flavor.

Instructions

Preparation

  • Preheat your oven to 350 degrees Fahrenheit and grease a 12-inch pie pan with butter.
  • In a large bowl, whisk together the eggs, heavy whipping cream, and whole milk until smooth and creamy.
  • Add the cooked and chopped bacon, green onions, cheddar cheese, salt, pepper, and paprika to the mixture and whisk together.
  • Pour the mixture into the prepared pie pan.
  • Create a water bath by placing a rimmed baking sheet in the oven on the center rack. Place the filled pie pan in the center of the baking sheet and pour water into the baking sheet until it surrounds the pie pan.

Baking

  • Bake the quiche until the center is set and doesn’t jiggle when you move it, about 40-50 minutes.
  • Carefully remove the quiche from the oven and the water bath. Allow it to cool for at least 10 minutes before slicing and serving.

Notes

Store any leftover quiche in an airtight container in the refrigerator for 3-4 days. It can also be frozen. Use fresh ingredients for best flavor and feel free to customize with vegetables. For a lighter version, consider using half-and-half instead of heavy cream.
