Ingredients

Main Ingredients

  • 1 lb Ground Chicken Substitute with ground turkey or lean beef if desired
  • 8 oz Mozzarella Cheese (Cut into cubes)
  • 6 slices Cooked Bacon (Crumble before use)
  • 1/2 cup Buffalo Sauce Adjust for spice preference

Seasonings

  • 1 tsp Garlic Powder
  • 1 tsp Onion Powder
  • 1 tsp Paprika
  • 1 tsp Salt
  • 1/2 tsp Black Pepper

Breading

  • 1 cup Plain Flour
  • 2 large Eggs (Beaten)
  • 1 cup Breadcrumbs (Panko or Regular) Panko for extra crunch

For Frying

  • 2 cups Vegetable Oil or Canola Oil For frying

Instructions

Preparation

  • In a mixing bowl, combine the ground chicken, buffalo sauce, garlic powder, onion powder, paprika, salt, and black pepper. Mix well until evenly blended.
  • Take a piece of ground chicken mixture and flatten it into a patty in your hand. Place a cube of mozzarella cheese and some crumbled bacon in the center.
  • Fold the chicken around the cheese and bacon to form a ball. Repeat this process until all the mixture is used.
  • Set up a breading station: Put flour in one bowl, beaten eggs in another, and breadcrumbs in a third bowl.
  • Roll each cheese ball first in flour, then dip it in the egg mixture, and finally coat it with breadcrumbs.

Cooking

  • Heat the oil in a large pan over medium-high heat. Once the oil is hot, carefully add the mozzarella bombs to the pan.
  • Fry them for about 4-5 minutes until they are golden brown, turning occasionally for even cooking.
  • Use a slotted spoon to remove the bombs and let them drain on paper towels.

Notes

Make sure the cheese is well-covered by the chicken mixture to avoid leakage during frying. If you want extra crunch, use panko breadcrumbs for the coating. Adjust the amount of buffalo sauce based on how spicy you like your food.
