Ingredients
  

Dry Ingredients

  • 3 cups freshly milled soft white wheat flour
  • 4 tsp baking powder
  • 1 tsp salt
  • 2 Tbsp organic cane sugar

Wet Ingredients

  • 2 eggs
  • 3 cups whole milk
  • 2/3 cup coconut oil melted

Preparation

  • Preheat your waffle iron according to its instructions.
  • In a large bowl, combine the whole wheat flour, baking powder, salt, and sugar.
  • In another bowl, beat the eggs and then add the milk and melted coconut oil.
  • Pour the wet ingredients into the dry ingredients. Mix until just combined; don’t overmix.

Cooking

  • Once your waffle iron is ready, pour the mixture onto the hot iron, using the amount suggested by your waffle maker.
  • Close the lid and cook until the waffles are golden brown and crispy.
  • Carefully remove the waffles and repeat the process until all the batter is used.

Notes

Serve warm topped with fresh fruits, maple syrup, yogurt, or cinnamon. Leftover waffles can be stored in the fridge for up to 3 days or frozen for longer storage. For crispy waffles, ensure they cool on a wire rack.
