Ingredients
  

Main Ingredients

  • 2 pounds ground turkey Use lean or extra lean for best results.
  • 1 cup breadcrumbs
  • 1/2 cup milk For soaking the breadcrumbs.
  • 1 medium onion, finely chopped
  • 2 cloves garlic, minced
  • 1/2 cup ketchup Plus more for topping.
  • 2 tablespoons Worcestershire sauce
  • 2 large eggs
  • 1 teaspoon salt
  • 1/2 teaspoon black pepper
  • 1/2 teaspoon dried thyme
  • 1/4 cup fresh parsley, chopped

Instructions
 

Preparation

  • Preheat your oven to 350°F (175°C).
  • In a large bowl, let the breadcrumbs soak in milk for 5 minutes.
  • Mix in the ground turkey, onion, garlic, ketchup, Worcestershire sauce, eggs, salt, pepper, thyme, and parsley until well combined.
  • Form the turkey mixture into a loaf and place it in a greased baking pan.
  • Coat the top of the meatloaf with a layer of ketchup for a classic glazed finish.

Cooking

  • Cook in the preheated oven for 1 hour and 15 minutes, or until the meatloaf is fully cooked and the juices run clear.
  • Allow the meatloaf to rest for 10 minutes before slicing to let the juices redistribute.

Notes

Serve the turkey meatloaf hot with sides like mashed potatoes or steamed vegetables. Store leftovers tightly wrapped in plastic wrap or aluminum foil in an airtight container for up to 3-4 days. Can freeze for up to 3 months.
