Ingredients
  

For the Margarita

  • 4 cups chopped strawberries Use fresh strawberries for best flavor.
  • 1/3 cup granulated sugar Adjust sweetness to taste.
  • 1 cup silver tequila You can use your preferred brand of tequila.
  • 1/3 cup Grand Marnier or Cointreau Cointreau can be used as an alternative.
  • 1/2 cup freshly squeezed orange juice Regular or blood orange juice works well.
  • 1 tablespoon lime juice Optional for extra zing.

Instructions
 

On the Rocks

  • In a blender, combine the chopped strawberries and granulated sugar. Blend until smooth.
  • Add tequila, Grand Marnier or Cointreau, orange juice, and lime juice (if using) to the blender. Blend again until well mixed.
  • Pour the mixture over ice in a glass and enjoy!

Frozen

  • In a blender, combine the chopped strawberries, granulated sugar, tequila, Grand Marnier or Cointreau, orange juice, and lime juice (if using).
  • Add a handful of ice. Blend until smooth and slushy.
  • Pour the frozen puree into a glass and serve right away!

Notes

For serving, use a chilled glass. Rim with lime juice and dip in sugar for an extra touch. Garnish with a fresh strawberry or lime wedge. Store leftovers in an airtight container in the refrigerator for up to 2 days.
