  • 8 ounces cream cheese, softened Ensure it's softened for easy mixing.
  • 3/4 cup sour cream Can substitute with Greek yogurt for a healthier option.
  • 2 teaspoons garlic, minced
  • 1 teaspoon onion powder
  • 1 cup mozzarella cheese, shredded Feel free to experiment with different cheeses.
  • 1 cup Parmesan cheese, grated
  • 10 ounces frozen spinach, thawed and drained Can use fresh spinach sautéed until wilted.
  • 1/4 teaspoon kosher salt
  • 1/8 teaspoon black pepper Add red pepper flakes or jalapeños for spice.

Instructions
 

Preparation

  • Preheat the oven to 400 degrees Fahrenheit.
  • Spray a 1-quart baking dish with non-stick cooking spray and set it aside.
  • In a medium-sized bowl, add the cream cheese and sour cream. Mix with a hand mixer and blend until smooth.
  • Add the minced garlic, onion powder, mozzarella cheese, Parmesan cheese, salt, and pepper. Fold in the drained spinach until everything is combined.
  • Spread the mixture evenly into the prepared baking dish.
  • Bake for 15-20 minutes or until it is heated throughout and bubbling.

Serving

  • Serve warm with sliced bread, a baguette, or crackers.

Notes

Store leftovers in an airtight container in the refrigerator for up to 3 days. Reheat in the oven or microwave. Add sliced olives or cherry tomatoes for extra color. For variation, add drained and chopped artichoke hearts to make a cheesy artichoke dip.
