  • 2 heads cauliflower Fresh heads of cauliflower
  • 2 tablespoons olive oil For drizzling over the steaks
  • 1 teaspoon paprika For seasoning
  • 1/2 teaspoon garlic powder For seasoning
  • 1/2 teaspoon salt For seasoning
  • 1/4 teaspoon pepper For seasoning
  • 1 tablespoon parmesan cheese For sprinkling over the steaks

Preparation

  • Preheat the oven to 400 degrees Fahrenheit.
  • Prepare the cauliflower by washing it and trimming the leaves and bottom of the core.
  • Slice the cauliflower into 3/4 inch thick slices to create thick 'steaks'.
  • Lay the cauliflower steaks in a single layer on a baking sheet and drizzle olive oil on top.

Seasoning and Roasting

  • In a small bowl, combine paprika, garlic powder, salt, pepper, and parmesan cheese.
  • Sprinkle the mixture evenly on both sides of the cauliflower steaks.
  • Roast in the oven for 10 minutes, then flip them over and roast for an additional 10 minutes or until tender and golden.

Notes

For best flavor and texture, use fresh cauliflower. Leftovers can be stored in an airtight container for up to 3 days. Reheat in the oven for the best texture.
