  • 2 large eggs
  • 1 teaspoon vanilla extract
  • 1 tablespoon red food coloring Gel-based food coloring can be used for a vibrant color.

Add-ins

  • 1/2 cup white chocolate chips Can be substituted with semi-sweet or dark chocolate chips for variation.

Preparation

  • Preheat your oven to 350°F (175°C) and grease a baking pan.
  • In a bowl, mix the flour, cocoa powder, baking powder, and salt.
  • In another bowl, combine the melted butter, sugar, eggs, vanilla, and food coloring.
  • Gradually mix the dry ingredients into the wet ingredients until just combined.
  • Fold in the white chocolate chips.

Baking

  • Pour the batter into the prepared pan and spread evenly.
  • Bake for 20-25 minutes or until a toothpick inserted comes out with a few moist crumbs.
  • Let cool before cutting into squares.
  • Drizzle additional melted white chocolate on top if desired.

Notes

Store leftover brownies in an airtight container at room temperature for up to three days. If you want to keep them longer, refrigerate or freeze them wrapped in plastic wrap.
