Ingredients
  

Asparagus Preparation

  • 2.25 pounds 2 1/4 pounds asparagus Rinse and trim the ends
  • 3 Tbsp 3 Tbsp olive oil For coating
  • 3/4 tsp 3/4 tsp garlic salt For flavor
  • 1/8 tsp 1/8 tsp black pepper For seasoning

For Sugar Water Drizzle

  • 2 cups 2 cups water For dissolving the sugar
  • 3 Tbsp 3 Tbsp organic cane sugar For sweetness

Instructions
 

Preparation

  • Preheat your oven to 400°F (200°C).
  • Rinse the asparagus under cold water and trim the ends if they are tough.
  • In a large bowl, combine olive oil, garlic salt, and black pepper.
  • Add the asparagus to the bowl and toss until well coated.
  • Place the asparagus on a baking sheet in a single layer.

Roasting

  • Roast in the oven for about 15-20 minutes, or until the asparagus is tender and slightly browned.
  • While the asparagus is roasting, bring water and organic cane sugar to a boil in a small pot, stirring until the sugar dissolves.
  • Once the asparagus is done, drizzle the sugar water over the roasted asparagus before serving.

Notes

Store leftover roasted asparagus in an airtight container in the refrigerator for up to 3 days. Reheat gently before serving. You can also sprinkle lemon juice or grated Parmesan cheese on top for extra flavor.
