Ingredients
  

Meatball Ingredients

  • 2 lbs lean ground beef
  • 1 small onion, finely chopped
  • 1 tbsp minced garlic
  • 1/2 cup dry bread crumbs or crushed crackers
  • 1 large egg
  • 1 tbsp Worcestershire Sauce
  • 1 cup shredded zucchini Can use frozen, thawed and drained.
  • to taste Salt & pepper

Honey Garlic Sauce

  • 1/4 cup brown sugar
  • 1/3 cup honey
  • 1/2 cup ketchup
  • 2 tbsp soy sauce
  • 1 tbsp minced garlic

Instructions
 

Preparation

  • Preheat your oven to 375 degrees Fahrenheit.
  • In a large bowl, mix together all the meatball ingredients by hand.
  • Form the mixture into meatballs and place them on a baking sheet lined with parchment paper.

Baking

  • Bake the meatballs in the oven for about 30 minutes.

Sauce Preparation

  • While the meatballs are baking, prepare the honey garlic sauce by combining the brown sugar, honey, ketchup, soy sauce, and garlic in a medium pot.
  • Heat the mixture through and let it simmer for about 5 minutes.

Serving

  • Once the meatballs are cooked, place them in a bowl, pour the sauce over them, and toss to coat.

Notes

These meatballs can be served on their own or with rice, noodles, or mashed potatoes. They can also be served as appetizers with toothpicks.
