Ingredients
  

Main Ingredients

  • 1 block firm tofu, pressed and cubed Press for at least 30 minutes to remove excess moisture.
  • 2 cups sliced mushrooms Use any variety like shiitake or portobello.
  • 2 tablespoons soy sauce Can substitute with tamari for gluten-free.
  • 1 tablespoon minced garlic
  • 1 tablespoon grated ginger
  • 1 tablespoon vegetable oil
  • Salt and pepper to taste

Optional Vegetables

  • e.g., bell peppers, broccoli, carrots Feel free to experiment with different vegetables.

Instructions
 

Cooking

  • Heat the vegetable oil in a skillet over medium heat.
  • Add the cubed tofu and stir-fry until golden brown and crispy, about 5-7 minutes.
  • Add the sliced mushrooms and any optional vegetables, and continue to stir-fry for another 3-5 minutes until softened.
  • Add the minced garlic and grated ginger, and stir for about 1 minute until fragrant.
  • Pour in the soy sauce and mix everything well.
  • Season with salt and pepper to taste.
  • Serve hot over rice or noodles.

Notes

Store leftovers in an airtight container in the refrigerator for 3-4 days. Reheat in a skillet or microwave.
