  • 3-4 pounds chuck roast
  • 1 ounce packet ranch seasoning
  • 1 ounce packet au jus gravy mix
  • ¼ cup butter, sliced Adds richness to the dish
  • 8-10 pieces pepperoncini peppers For extra flavor

Preparation

  • Place the 3-4 pounds chuck roast in the bottom of your slow cooker.
  • Sprinkle the 1 (1-ounce) packet ranch seasoning and the 1 (1-ounce) packet au jus gravy mix on top of the roast.
  • Slice the ¼ cup butter and place it on top of the seasonings.
  • Add the 8-10 pepperoncini peppers on top for extra flavor.
  • Cover the slow cooker with a lid and cook on LOW for 8 hours.
  • After 8 hours, shred the roast with two forks and serve it over mashed potatoes or noodles.

Notes

If you want extra flavor, add some diced onions or garlic. Use a good quality chuck roast for the best results. Don’t skip the butter as it adds richness. Leftovers can be stored in an airtight container and refrigerated for 3-4 days or frozen for up to three months.
