  • 2 tablespoons lemon pepper seasoning
  • 1 tablespoon olive oil
  • 1/4 cup butter
  • 1/2 cup chicken broth
  • 4 cloves garlic, minced
  • 1 Juice of one lemon

Preparation

  • Preheat your oven to 375 degrees Fahrenheit.
  • Season the chicken thighs generously with lemon pepper seasoning.
  • In a medium-sized skillet, heat the olive oil over medium-high heat.
  • Sear the chicken thighs for 2-3 minutes on each side until they are golden brown. Remove the chicken and set it aside on a plate.

Cooking

  • In the same skillet, add the butter and cook over medium-high heat until it becomes frothy and brown.
  • Stir in the chicken broth, minced garlic, and juice of one lemon. Mix well.
  • Return the seared chicken thighs to the skillet and coat them in the sauce.
  • Bake in the oven for 20 minutes or until chicken is cooked throughout and no longer pink.

Notes

Use a meat thermometer to check the chicken's doneness. It should reach an internal temperature of 165 degrees Fahrenheit. For an extra burst of flavor, add capers or fresh herbs like parsley at the end of cooking. For spiciness, add a pinch of red pepper flakes to the brown butter sauce. You can modify this recipe using different proteins like salmon or shrimp and experimenting with seasonings.
