Ingredients
  

For the ice cream

  • 2 cups heavy cream (or half and half or whole milk) Can substitute with half and half or whole milk.
  • 1/4 cup sugar
  • 1 teaspoon vanilla

For freezing

  • 6-8 cups ice
  • 1/3 cup rock salt Helps with the freezing process.

Toppings

  • sprinkles
  • crushed Oreos
  • mini M&Ms
  • sliced fruit Like strawberries or bananas.

Instructions
 

Preparation

  • In one gallon-sized ziplock bag, add the ice and rock salt.
  • In another gallon-sized bag, combine the heavy cream, sugar, and vanilla. Seal the bag tightly, ensuring no ingredients leak out.
  • Place the bag with the cream mixture inside the bag with ice and salt.
  • Shake the bag for about 5 minutes, or until the mixture becomes frozen.

Serving

  • Once your ice cream is ready, carefully open the inner bag and scoop out the creamy goodness into bowls or cones.
  • Add your favorite toppings for an extra special treat.

Notes

Homemade ice cream is best eaten fresh. If you have leftovers, transfer to an airtight container and store in the freezer for up to a week.
