Ingredients
  

For the Margarita Mix

  • 1.5 ounces tequila Use a good quality blanco or reposado tequila.
  • 1 ounce fresh lime juice Freshly squeezed for the best taste.
  • 0.5 ounce orange liqueur
  • 1.5 tablespoons simple syrup Adjust sweetness to taste.

For Garnish

  • 1 wedge lime For garnishing and moistening the glass rim.
  • to taste kosher salt For coating the glass rim.

Preparation

  • Start by moistening the rim of your glass with a lime wedge.
  • Dip the rim into kosher salt to coat it.

Mixing the Drink

  • Pour in 1 1/2 ounces of tequila.
  • Add 1 ounce of fresh lime juice and 1/2 ounce of orange liqueur.
  • Mix in 1 1/2 tablespoons of simple syrup.
  • Stir the mixture gently.

Serving

  • Add ice to your glass.
  • Garnish with a lime wedge.

Notes

For the best experience, serve in a chilled glass. You can enjoy straight up or on the rocks. Pair with tortilla chips, salsa, or guacamole. Store leftover mix (without ice) in an airtight container in the fridge for up to 24 hours.
