Ingredients
  

Dough and Sauce

  • 1 package pizza dough Store-bought or homemade
  • 2 teaspoons olive oil For brushing the dough
  • 3 tablespoons pizza sauce Your choice of pizza sauce

Toppings

  • 0.5 cup shredded Mozzarella cheese Can substitute with other cheeses
  • to taste pepperoni Or any other preferred toppings
  • to taste fresh basil For garnish

Instructions
 

Preparation

  • Preheat the grill to 450°F (232°C) and ensure the grill grates are clean and lightly oiled.
  • Roll out the pizza dough and brush it with 2 teaspoons of olive oil.

Grilling the Dough

  • Place the pizza dough, oiled side down, on the grill and cook for 2-3 minutes until grill marks appear on the underside.
  • Remove the pizza crust from the grill and lay it grill side up on a work surface.

Topping and Final Grilling

  • Spread 3 tablespoons of pizza sauce on the crust, followed by ½ cup of shredded Mozzarella cheese and pepperoni.
  • Place the topped pizza back on the grill, reduce the heat to 400°F (204°C), and grill until the cheese is melted and the toppings are toasted, about 3-4 minutes.
  • Remove from the grill, top with fresh basil, cut into 6 slices, and serve immediately.

Notes

Serve grilled pizza hot off the grill, pairing it with a simple salad or garlic bread. Customize with various toppings for everyone’s taste. Store leftover pizza in the refrigerator for up to 3 days and reheat on the grill or in the oven.
