Burger Patties

  • 2 pounds 80/20 ground beef (cold) Use cold ground beef to keep burgers tender.
  • 3 cloves garlic (minced) For enhanced flavor.
  • 1 Tablespoon minced onion Add some depth to the flavor.
  • 1 Tablespoon Worcestershire sauce
  • 2 Tablespoons BBQ sauce For a nice hint of sweetness.
  • 1 teaspoon salt
  • 1/2 teaspoon pepper

Burger Assembly

  • 6 pieces Homemade Hamburger Buns To serve the burgers.
  • 1 cup Sliced Red Onion Optional topping.
  • 1 cup Pickles Optional topping.
  • 1 cup Lettuce Optional topping.
  • 1 cup Tomato Optional topping.

Preparation

  • In a medium-sized bowl, combine the cold ground beef, minced garlic, minced onion, Worcestershire sauce, BBQ sauce, salt, and pepper. Mix gently to avoid overmixing.
  • Shape the mixture into patties and create a divot in the center of each patty.

Cooking

  • Place the patties on direct heat and grill for 4-5 minutes on each side until they reach your desired doneness.
  • If desired, add a slice of cheese on top just before they finish cooking.

Serving

  • Serve the burgers hot on toasted butter hamburger buns with your favorite toppings.
  • Optional: Serve with fries, coleslaw, or salad.

Notes
