Frozen Pink Grapefruit Prosecco Cocktail

Ingredients
  

For the cocktail

  • 3 tbsp white granulated sugar For rimming the glasses
  • 240 ml juice of 1 large ruby grapefruit Approximately 1 cup of store-bought juice can also be used
  • 60 ml vodka Can use flavored vodka for extra taste
  • 480 g ice Use ice cubes or frozen grapefruit juice cubes
  • 360 ml red or pink prosecco Top the slush with prosecco just before serving
  • to taste candied grapefruit slices For decoration

Instructions
 

Preparation

  • Pour the sugar on a flat plate.
  • Dip the rim of the glasses in grapefruit juice, then dip in the sugar to give each glass a sugar-rim.
  • Pour the remaining grapefruit juice, vodka, and ice into a blender.
  • Blend until the mixture turns to slush, scraping down the sides as needed.
  • Spoon the slush mixture into the four glasses.
  • Top each glass with pink prosecco.
  • Decorate the glasses with a slice of candied grapefruit and serve immediately.

Notes

Serve in chilled glasses for the best experience. For an added twist, freeze grapefruit juice in ice cube trays and use those instead of regular ice.
