Main ingredients

  • 2 large avocados Use ripe avocados for the best flavor and texture.
  • 2 cloves garlic (diced) Adjust garlic quantity to taste.
  • 2 pieces Roma tomatoes (diced)
  • 0.5 cup diced white onions
  • 1 piece lime (Juice of) Fresh juice recommended.
  • 2 tablespoons chopped cilantro Additional for garnishing if desired.
  • 1 tablespoon chopped jalapeños (optional) Add more for spiciness.

Preparation

  • Cut the avocados in half, then half again so you have 4 slices.
  • Remove the pit, and peel the skin off the flesh. Place the flesh into a bowl.
  • Mash the avocado with a fork until it’s smooth, but still a little chunky.
  • Add the diced garlic, diced tomatoes, diced onions, lime juice, cilantro, and jalapeños (if using) to the bowl with the mashed avocado.
  • Mix everything together until well combined.
  • Taste and adjust the seasoning as needed, adding salt and pepper to taste.

Serving

  • Serve immediately, garnished with additional cilantro and jalapeño slices if desired.

Notes

To keep your guacamole from turning brown, place a piece of plastic wrap directly on the surface of the guacamole and press down to remove any air bubbles before storing it. Store in an airtight container for 1-2 days for freshness.
