  • 1 pound deveined and peeled medium shrimp Fresh or thawed if frozen
  • 1 tablespoon olive oil For cooking shrimp
  • 0.5 teaspoon garlic powder Spice mix
  • 0.5 teaspoon onion powder Spice mix
  • 0.5 teaspoon smoked paprika Spice mix
  • 0.5 teaspoon ground cumin Spice mix
  • 0.5 teaspoon chili powder Spice mix, adjust to taste
  • 0.5 teaspoon salt Adjust to taste
  • 0.25 teaspoon ground black pepper Adjust to taste

For Serving

  • 8-10 medium flour tortillas For serving

Preparation

  • Prepare your toppings and ensure the shrimp is fully thawed, peeled, and deveined.
  • In a small bowl, combine garlic powder, onion powder, smoked paprika, ground cumin, chili powder, salt, and ground black pepper.

Cooking

  • Heat a 14-inch skillet over medium-high heat and add the olive oil.
  • Add the shrimp and spice mixture to the skillet and stir for about 1 minute until the shrimp are evenly coated.
  • Cook the shrimp for about 5-6 minutes, flipping and stirring occasionally until they are pink and opaque.

Serving

  • Serve the shrimp immediately with the tortillas and your desired taco toppings.

Notes

Store leftovers in an airtight container in the refrigerator and consume within 1-2 days. Reheat shrimp in a skillet and warm tortillas in the microwave.
