Main Ingredients

  • 1/2 cup Panko breadcrumbs
  • 1/4 cup all-purpose flour Can be substituted with gluten-free flour for a gluten-free version.
  • 1/2 chopped green bell pepper
  • 1/2 chopped red bell pepper
  • 3 cans (5-ounce) drained salmon Canned salmon should be drained well.
  • 1/2 teaspoon garlic powder
  • 1/2 teaspoon salt
  • 1/4 teaspoon pepper
  • 1 large lightly beaten egg
  • 1/4 cup mayonnaise
  • 1 tablespoon Worcestershire sauce
  • 1/4 cup chopped cilantro
  • 1-2 tablespoons vegetable oil For frying.

Instructions
 

Preparation

  • In a bowl, mix together 1/2 cup Panko breadcrumbs and 1/4 cup all-purpose flour.
  • Add in the chopped green bell pepper, chopped red bell pepper, drained salmon, garlic powder, salt, pepper, beaten egg, mayonnaise, Worcestershire sauce, and chopped cilantro.
  • Mix all the ingredients until they are fully combined.
  • Shape the mixture into 6 to 8 patties.

Cooking

  • Heat 1-2 tablespoons of vegetable oil in a large skillet over medium-high heat.
  • Add the patties to the skillet and cook for about 2-3 minutes on each side or until they are golden brown.

Notes

Serve warm with tartar sauce or lemon. Store leftovers in the refrigerator for up to 3 days. You can freeze uncooked patties for up to 2 months.
