  • 1 loaf French bread Preferably unsliced
  • 1/2 cup salted butter (softened) Can substitute with unsalted butter, add salt as desired
  • 1/2 teaspoon garlic powder
  • 3 cloves garlic (minced) Use fresh garlic for stronger flavor
  • 1 teaspoon Italian seasoning
  • 1 cup Colby jack cheese (shredded) Feel free to use any other cheese
  • 1 cup mozzarella cheese (shredded)
  • to taste fresh chopped parsley for garnish Add just before serving

Instructions
 

Preparation

  • Preheat your oven to 400 degrees Fahrenheit.
  • Cut the French bread loaf lengthwise and place it on a baking sheet.
  • In a small bowl, mix the softened butter, garlic powder, minced garlic, and Italian seasoning.
  • Spread this mixture evenly on each side of the garlic bread.
  • Top the bread with the Colby Jack and mozzarella cheese.

Baking

  • Bake in the oven for 12-15 minutes until the butter is melted and bubbly.
  • For an extra crispy top, broil the bread for 1-2 minutes at the end.
  • Garnish with fresh chopped parsley if desired.

Notes

Best served warm as a side dish with pasta, soups, or salads. Can be customized with herbs or spices. Store leftovers in an airtight container for up to 3 days; reheat in the oven.
