Ingredients
  

For the Chicken Wings

  • 2 pounds chicken wings (drummettes or split wings)
  • 1/3 to 1/2 cup all-purpose flour
  • 2 teaspoons brown sugar or brown sweetener
  • 1 teaspoon smoked paprika
  • 1 teaspoon chili powder
  • 1/2 teaspoon garlic powder
  • 1/2 teaspoon onion powder
  • to taste Salt and pepper
  • Cooking oil spray (olive oil recommended)

Instructions
 

Preparation

  • Preheat the oven to 375°F (190°C).
  • Pat the chicken wings dry and place them in a large bowl or plastic bag.
  • Add the flour, brown sugar, smoked paprika, chili powder, garlic powder, onion powder, salt, and pepper to the wings. Mix well to ensure they are fully coated.
  • Line a baking sheet with parchment paper and place the wings on it.
  • Spritz the wings lightly with cooking oil.

Baking

  • Bake for 20 minutes, then flip the wings, spritz again with cooking oil, and bake for another 10 minutes until the wings are crispy and cooked through. The internal temperature should reach 165°F (74°C).

Air Frying (Optional)

  • For air fryer users, preheat to 400°F (204°C). Coat the wings like before, place them in the basket, spritz with oil, cook for 15 minutes, flip, spritz again, and cook for an additional 5 minutes until crispy.

Notes

Serve these wings hot with a variety of dips like ranch dressing, blue cheese, or fresh veggies on the side. Make sure the wings are dry before coating for maximum crispiness. You can adjust the spices according to your taste.
