  • 1 pound peeled and deveined jumbo shrimp Use fresh or thawed shrimp.
  • 2 tablespoons olive oil For cooking the shrimp.
  • 3 teaspoons minced garlic Adjust to taste.

For the Sauce

  • 1 cup heavy cream For a rich creamy texture.
  • ½ cup chicken broth Can substitute with vegetable broth.
  • 1 teaspoon garlic powder
  • 1 teaspoon Italian seasoning For added flavor.
  • ½ cup parmesan cheese Freshly grated recommended.

For the Pasta

  • 8 ounces cooked and drained linguine noodles Follow package instructions for cooking.

Cooking the Shrimp

  • Heat 2 tablespoons of olive oil in a medium-sized skillet over medium-high heat.
  • Season the shrimp with salt and pepper to taste.
  • Add the seasoned shrimp and minced garlic to the skillet and cook until the shrimp are almost pink.

Making the Sauce

  • Pour in the heavy cream, chicken broth, garlic powder, Italian seasoning, and parmesan cheese into the skillet.
  • Stir to combine and let it simmer for about 3-5 minutes until the sauce starts to thicken.

Combining Pasta

  • Add the cooked and drained linguine noodles to the skillet.
  • Gently toss to combine and coat the noodles in the creamy sauce.

Serving

  • Garnish with chopped fresh parsley and additional parmesan cheese before serving.

Notes

For best flavor, use freshly grated parmesan cheese. Don’t overcook the shrimp; they will continue to cook in the sauce. This dish can be made lighter by using half-and-half instead of heavy cream.
