Ingredients
  

For the Dough

  • 1 cup all-purpose flour
  • 1/2 cup granulated sugar
  • 1/2 teaspoon baking powder
  • 1/4 teaspoon salt
  • 1/2 teaspoon ground cinnamon
  • 1/2 cup milk
  • 1 large egg
  • 1/4 cup unsalted butter, melted

For Frying and Coating

  • 1/2 cup sugar mixed with 2 teaspoons cinnamon For coating

Instructions
 

Preparation

  • In a bowl, mix flour, sugar, baking powder, salt, and cinnamon.
  • In another bowl, whisk together milk, egg, and melted butter.
  • Combine wet and dry ingredients until just mixed.

Cooking

  • Heat oil in a deep fryer or large pot to 350°F (175°C).
  • Drop spoonfuls of batter into the hot oil, cooking until golden brown, about 2-3 minutes.
  • Remove and drain on paper towels.
  • Toss the warm donut bites in cinnamon sugar.

Serving

  • Serve warm and enjoy!

Notes

Best served warm, paired with chocolate sauce or caramel for dipping. Can last for 1-2 days in an airtight container at room temperature. Reheat in a toaster oven for crispiness.
