  • 1 pound breakfast sausage Use your choice of breakfast sausage.
  • 1 16.3-ounce tube Grand's canned biscuits You can substitute with any refrigerated biscuit dough.
  • 6 large eggs
  • 1 cup milk Whole milk works best for creaminess.
  • 2 cups shredded cheddar cheese Feel free to use other cheese like pepper jack for spice.

Preparation and Cooking

  • Preheat the oven to 350°F (175°C) and spray a 9x13-inch or 3-quart baking dish with nonstick cooking spray.
  • In a large skillet over medium-high heat, cook and crumble the breakfast sausage until browned, about 7 minutes. Drain any grease.
  • Cut the tube of biscuits into quarters and add them to the baking dish, topping them with the cooked sausage.
  • Sprinkle the shredded cheddar cheese evenly over the top.
  • In a medium bowl, whisk together the eggs and milk, then pour the mixture evenly over the casserole.
  • Cover with aluminum foil and bake for 45-50 minutes, or until the eggs are set. Remove the foil and bake for an additional 5 minutes to brown the top.
  • Let the casserole sit for 5-10 minutes before serving.

Notes

For added flavor, consider adding sautéed vegetables or a splash of hot sauce. Leftovers can be stored in an airtight container for 3-4 days.
