  • 1.5 Tbsp freshly grated ginger Use fresh ginger for the best flavor.
  • 2 cups Coconut Liquid Aminos Ensure gluten-free if needed.
  • 2 cups light brown sugar Adjust sweetness to taste.
  • 1 cup white distilled vinegar
  • 2 Tbsp bottled lemon juice
  • 3 Tbsp Therm Flo For thickening the sauce.

Preparation

  • Combine the freshly grated ginger, Coconut Liquid Aminos, light brown sugar, white distilled vinegar, and bottled lemon juice in a large saucepan.
  • Heat the mixture over medium heat, stirring until the sugar dissolves completely.
  • Gradually mix in the Therm Flo while stirring continuously to thicken the sauce.
  • Continue cooking for about 5-10 more minutes until you reach your desired consistency.
  • Remove from heat and let it cool.
  • Pour the sauce into clean, sterilized jars or cans, sealing the lids tightly.
  • Store in a cool, dark place or refrigerate for a longer shelf life.

Notes

For added flavor, consider adding garlic or sesame seeds. Store unopened jars in a cool, dark place, and refrigerate opened jars for up to a month. Shake well before use if separation occurs.
