Ingredients

Dry Ingredients

  • 1 cup all-purpose flour (spooned & leveled)
  • 1/2 teaspoon baking powder
  • 1/8 teaspoon baking soda
  • 1/4 teaspoon salt

Wet Ingredients

  • 1 cup packed light brown sugar
  • 1/3 cup unsalted butter, melted
  • 1 Tablespoon pure vanilla extract
  • 1 large egg

Candy Bars

  • 1 and 1/2 cups chopped chocolate candy bars (I used Milky Way Midnight, Twix, Snickers, and Butterfinger)

Instructions

Preparation

  • Preheat the oven to 350°F (177°C) and line an 8-inch square baking pan with parchment paper, leaving an overhang.
  • In a bowl, whisk together the flour, baking powder, baking soda, and salt. Set aside.
  • In another bowl, whisk together the melted butter, brown sugar, and vanilla extract until well combined, then add the egg and mix until smooth.
  • Slowly add the dry ingredients into the wet mixture and stir until just combined, then fold in the chopped candy bars.
  • Spread the mixture evenly into the prepared baking pan.

Baking

  • Bake in the oven for 24-26 minutes, or until the top is lightly browned.
  • Once baked, allow to cool completely before lifting them out and cutting into squares.

Notes

To keep your Candy Bar Blondies fresh, store them in an airtight container at room temperature for up to one week or freeze for up to three months. Serve warm or at room temperature, and consider adding ice cream or chocolate sauce for extra indulgence.
