  • cup unsalted butter, room temperature
  • 1 ½ teaspoons vanilla extract
  • 2 cups powdered sugar
  • 2 tablespoons milk

Ganache

  • 1 ½ cups semi-sweet chocolate chips
  • 2 tablespoons vegetable oil

Instructions

Prepare Brownie Layer

  • Preheat your oven to 350°F (175°C). Grease a 9×13 inch baking pan.
  • Melt the dark chocolate and butter together in a bowl over simmering water. Stir until smooth and set aside to cool slightly.
  • In a separate bowl, mix granulated sugar, brown sugar, and eggs until well combined. Add the melted chocolate mixture and stir well.
  • In another bowl, combine salt, cornstarch, baking powder, cocoa powder, and flour. Gradually mix this dry mixture into the wet mixture until just combined.
  • Spread the brownie batter into the prepared pan.

Prepare Peanut Butter Layer

  • In a bowl, mix creamy peanut butter, room temperature butter, and vanilla extract until smooth.
  • Add powdered sugar and milk, mixing until well combined. Spread this peanut butter layer evenly over the brownie layer.

Prepare Ganache

  • In a small saucepan, melt the semi-sweet chocolate chips and vegetable oil over low heat, stirring until smooth.
  • Pour the ganache over the peanut butter layer, spreading it evenly.

Bake

  • Bake in the preheated oven for about 30-35 minutes, or until set.
  • Allow to cool before cutting into squares.
