  • 1/2 teaspoon baking soda
  • 1 teaspoon salt
  • 1 cup chocolate chips For added texture, consider mixing in nuts or additional chocolate pieces

  • 1 cup brownie mix Use store-bought for ease

Preparation

  • Preheat the oven to 350°F (175°C).
  • In a large bowl, melt the butter, then mix in the brown sugar and granulated sugar until well combined.
  • Add the eggs and vanilla extract, mixing until smooth.
  • In another bowl, whisk together flour, baking soda, and salt. Gradually add the dry ingredients to the wet ingredients and mix until just combined.
  • Fold in the chocolate chips.
  • In a separate bowl, prepare the brownie mix according to package instructions.

Baking

  • Drop spoonfuls of cookie dough and brownie batter onto a baking sheet lined with parchment paper, alternating between the two.
  • Bake for 12-15 minutes or until edges are golden brown.
  • Let cool for a few minutes before serving.
