Main ingredients
- 4 boneless, skinless chicken breasts
- 1/2 cup BBQ sauce
- 1 teaspoon salt
- 1 teaspoon pepper
Instructions
Preheat to 400°F and line a rimmed baking dish or pan. Arrange the four breasts in a single layer.
Divide the salt and pepper evenly over both sides. Coat each breast with 2 tablespoons BBQ sauce, using the full 1/2 cup across the four pieces.
Bake for about 20–30 minutes, beginning temperature checks at 20 minutes, until each breast reaches 165°F in its thickest part. Loosely cover with foil if the sauce darkens before the meat is done.
Remove finished breasts and rest for 5 minutes before slicing. Serve one breast per portion with cooked pan juices.
- Refrigerate in shallow containers within 2 hours (1 hour above 90°F); keep at 40°F or below and use within 3–4 days.
- Reheat portions to 165°F throughout.
