Amazing Teriyaki Burgers

Ingredients
  

Burger Patties

  • 1 lb Ground Beef (80/20) Use beef with some fat for juicier burgers.
  • 1/4 cup Homemade Teriyaki Sauce (or store-bought) Store-bought teriyaki sauce can be used for convenience.
  • 3 cloves Garlic (minced)
  • Salt and Pepper (to taste)

Toppings

  • 4 slices Provolone Cheese Can substitute with Monterey Jack or cheddar.
  • 4 pieces Hamburger Buns
  • 8 rings Pineapple (grilled)
  • Red Onion Slices (grilled)
  • Butter Lettuce
  • Additional Teriyaki Sauce
  • Sesame Seeds (for garnish)

Instructions
 

Preparation

  • In a medium-sized bowl, combine the ground beef, teriyaki sauce, minced garlic, and salt and pepper. Mix until well combined.
  • Shape the mixture into four patties, making a small divot in the center of each patty with your thumb to help them cook evenly.

Grilling

  • Heat the grill to 400 degrees Fahrenheit.
  • Place the burgers onto direct heat and grill for 4-5 minutes on each side until they reach the desired doneness.
  • During the last minute of grilling, place a slice of provolone cheese on top of each burger to melt.

Assembly

  • Remove the burgers from the grill and assemble them on hamburger buns with your desired toppings.

Notes

Store cooked patties in an airtight container in the refrigerator for up to 3 days. Uncooked patties can be frozen for up to 2 months. Thaw in the fridge overnight before grilling.
