For the glaze
- 1/4 cup honey Adjust sweetness to taste.
- 2 tablespoons soy sauce
- 2 cloves garlic, minced Add more for stronger flavor.
- 1 tablespoon olive oil
- Salt and pepper to taste
For the salmon
- 1 lb salmon fillet, cut into bite-sized pieces Cut evenly for even cooking.
- optional Green onions for garnish Add as a garnish before serving.
Method
Remove skin and pin bones from thawed salmon, pat dry, and cut into roughly 1-inch cubes. Preheat the air fryer to 400°F.
Whisk honey, soy sauce, garlic, and olive oil. Add pepper and a little salt if needed, then gently coat the salmon.
Lift the pieces from the mixture, letting excess coating drip off. Arrange in a spaced single layer; use additional batches if necessary.
Cook the cubes at 400°F; allow 8–10 minutes overall and begin checking after 6 minutes. Turn gently if needed. The thickest center must reach 145°F, with opaque flesh that flakes easily.
Transfer to a plate and garnish with green onions if using. Discard uncooked coating remaining in the bowl. Divide into 4 smaller portions and serve with sides.
- The timing estimate covers one basketful; extra batches increase cooking time.
- Refrigerate within 2 hours and use within 3 days; reheat leftovers to 165°F.
