Chicken and Marinade
- 2 boneless, skinless chicken breasts
- 1/4 cup honey
- 1/4 cup soy sauce
- 4 cloves garlic minced
- 1 tablespoon olive oil
- salt to taste
- pepper to taste
- green onions chopped, optional for garnish
Instructions
Whisk honey, soy sauce, garlic, olive oil, salt, and pepper together. Coat the breasts, cover, and refrigerate for at least 30 minutes or up to 2 hours.
Preheat the air fryer to 380°F. Lift the chicken from the marinade, let excess drain, discard the used marinade, and place the breasts in one layer with space between them.
Cook at 380°F for about 15–20 minutes, turning halfway through. Remove each breast when its thickest center reaches 165°F, allowing longer for thick pieces and reducing heat if the honey scorches.
Rest for 5 minutes, slice across the grain, and divide into two servings. Garnish with optional green onions.
- Refrigerate in shallow covered containers within 2 hours (1 hour above 90°F); keep at 40°F or below and use within 3–4 days.
- Reheat to 165°F throughout, checking often because the sweet coating can darken before the center is hot.
